For your consideration we are offering for sale this early Circa 1930s Waterman 32 1/2 Blue Green Quartz Celluloid Fountain Pen with Nickel Trim. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

Ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed and section. Hand cleaned the inside of the barrel and cap with mineral oil. Replaced the old rubber sac with a new, properly size, #14 rubber sac. Hand polished the Nickel Single Cap Band, Nickel Clip and Nickel Ideal Lever Box Assembly along with the Ideal CANADA 585/14K #2 NIB.

This fountain pen is made from celluloid in a blue-green quartz color. The coloring is excellent and very unique. The barrel has a very crisp imprint at the center of the barrel that reads, "WATERMAN'S MADE IN CANADA IDEAL GLOBE FOUNTAIN PEN". The cap has a crisp imprint that reads, "WATERMAN'S MADE IN CANADA". The butt end of the fountain pen has a crisp 32 1/2 imprint.

The threads on the cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly. There are no monograms on the barrel. There are no cracks, nicks or repairs to the celluloid. This Waterman 32 1/2 measures 4 3/4" in length capped and 6" posted. When measuring the actual tip of the 14K Ideal CANADA NIB, it measured at .93mm with digital calipers.

The lever and box assembly has been cleaned and oiled. It works flawlessly and smoothly. The Globe and Ideal imprint on the lever are crisp and clean; no brassing.

When writing the sample in the listing images, the NIB writes with a fine line measuring roughly .51mm with very light pressure and flexes up to 1.83mm (see image) with normal pressure, I didn't want to overextend the NIB's capabilities. The writing sample provided was done with the actual pen in the images that is listed for sale. I have tested the filling mechanism with water and fills wonderfully. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Black Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This vintage Canadian Waterman's 32 1/2 Fountain Pen is in ready to write condition using the incredible flexible NIB. I would condition this fountain pen in excellent condition and certainly a tough color to find for the collector of these fine writing instruments.
