For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Mint, Never Inked, New Old Stock in the Box 1997 Writer's Series Montblanc F. Dostoevsky Fountain Pen Limited Edition 08603/17000. This pen comes with the original inner and out boxes and Montblanc documentation.

Fyodor M. Dostoevsky, a profound influence on 20th-century authors, was renowned for his captivating plots in works such as "Crime and Punishment," "The Idiot," and "The Gambler." This Montblanc Writers Edition Dostoevsky is one of only 17000 manufactured in 1997, making it a rare gem. The pen's intricate barrel, inspired by the Russian Empire era, is paired with an 18K gold nib, which is nothing short of exquisite.

This Montblanc Limited Edition Writers Series Edition has delicate ornamentation of the black barrel and the gold-plated rings to capture the imagination just as much as the domed sapphire-colored stone set in the gold-plated clip. The cap bears the engraved signature of the writer from which it takes its name. The top of the cap is surmounted by the ivory-colored Montblanc star. The 18K gold nib features the engraving decorated with delicate ornamentation reminiscent of the era of the Russian Empire.

This Dostoevsky is a limited edition number, "08603/17000".

The cap and barrel are in perfect condition with no cracks, nicks, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The gold-plated trim is shining brilliantly. The original Medium nib sticker is still in place on the end of the barrel. The fountain pen measures 5 3/8" capped and 6 1/2" posted.

This Montblanc fountain pen uses a piston filling system and I have tested it with water and works as it was designed to. This fountain pen has never seen ink and is in Mint Condition

The 18-karat nib has motifs inspired by the Russian Empire era and is marked. "4810, 18K/750, Montblanc Logo, 1997, MONTBLANC". This nib is designated as a MEDIUM and the point measures .87mm when using digital calipers.

Accompanying this fountain pen are the original Montblanc inner and outer storage factory boxes and the Montblanc International Service Certificate literature. This is a Limited Edition Montblanc with a production number of 8603 out of 17000.

There is hardly any 20th-century writer who does not cite Fyodor M. Dostoevsky as one of his or her most significant influences. Because Dostoevsky, like no other writer, explored the blackest depths of the human soul.

This Montblanc F. Dostoevsky Fountain Pen is a very stunning writing instrument crafted in Germany.
