Description

For your consideration we are offering for sale this Gorgeous Restored 1941 Parker Emerald Pearl Celluloid Debutante Double Jewel Fountain Pen. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, cap and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Split Arrow Clip, Gold Filled Cap Banding, Blind Cap Tassie and 14K NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished and Waxed the barrel, cap and blind cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid of fountain pen.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, teeth marks or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The celluloid offers a rich emerald color that looks amazing. The cap has the Split Arrow Gold Filled Clip, which displays only a slight hint on the tassel left edge. The cap features a Gold Filled Smooth Cap Banding, which displays no brassing. The top and bottom jewels are black and have been polished to a high shine. The barrel is clearly stamped with, "Geo. S. Parker Vacumatic Made in U.S.A. with date code 1 in the second quarter". The transparency of the barrel is fantastic where a person can easily see through, just some mild ambering. The jeweled blind cap securely fits. There are no monograms or personalizations on the cap or barrel.

This Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen is a 2nd Generation Debutante size that measures 4 5/8" in length capped and 5 3/8" posted. The Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water about 6 to 8 presses and it will fill 7/8 full. This 2nd Generation Parker Vacumatic has the correct Speedline filling unit. This filling unit has been greased and now operates smoothly and works flawlessly.

This Parker has the 14K split arrow NIB. The actual writing portion of the NIB (iridium) has a medium point measuring roughly .63mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample the NIB writes with an extra fine to medium stroke line. With the writing sample provided, the thinnest line measures a fine .41mm stroke and the medium line measured at .69mm with firm pressure when measuring with digital calipers. The sample in this listing was completed with the actual pen in the images that is listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue-Black Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is a beautiful vintage Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen in the Emerald Green Pearl Celluloid is wonderful condition. I would grade the fountain pen in Excellent Condition. It is ready to write or just add to writing arsenal collection.
