Description

For your consideration we are offering for sale this gorgeous Restored 1941 Parker Vacumatic Double Jewel Fountain Pen in the Golden Pearl Celluloid. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, cap and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Plated Split Arrow Blue Diamond Clip, Chevron Cap Banding and 14K NIB. I have also cleaned, buffed, polished and waxed the barrel, cap and blind cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid of this fountain pen.

This fountain pen cap, barrel and blind cap are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has the Split Arrow Gold Plated Blue Diamond Clip and Chevron Cap Banding with no plating wear. The top & bottom jewels are black and both have been polished for a wonderful shine. The barrel is clearly stamped with, "Geo. S. Parker Vacumatic Made in U.S.A. with date code 1 in the 4th quarter". The transparency of the barrel is excellent with mild ambering - an individual can easily see through the barrel. The blind cap securely fits. This Parker Vacumatic is a major size which measures 5 1/8" in length capped and 6" posted. The color is gorgeous on this pen - the golden pearl celluloid is vibrant and just shines.

This Parker Vacumatic is a 2nd Generation Vacumatic that contains the proper Speedline Filling Unit. The Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water about 6 to 8 presses to fill full. I have greased the Speedline Filling unit and operates flawlessly.

The Parker NIB is a 14K split arrow NIB with the matching date code for 1941. The actual writing portion (iridium) 14K Parker NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .62mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample the NIB writes with a medium to a double broad stroke line. With the writing sample provided in this listing created by the actual pen displayed in the images, the medium line measures at .72mm and the double broad line measured with digital calipers is 1.41mm with medium pressure. The writing sample was completed with the actual pen in the images that is listed for sale. The writing sample provided was completed by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue-Black Ink.

This is a fantastic vintage example of the Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen in the Golden Pearl Celluloid. I would grade this fine Parker writing instrument at Excellent Condition. It is ready to write or just add to writing arsenal collection.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap. There is also some glare from the lighting on the body of the cap and barrel.
