Description

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this 2006 Kaweco King Limited Editon 75 of 300 celluloid Fountain Pen fitted with an 18K Broad Nib. This fountain pen comes with the original wooden box and Kaweco Booklet/Literature. I have dipped the fountain pen to provide a writing sample and the pen is what I consider to be in Mint condition and functions perfectly.

This writing instrument is the Limited Edition Kaweco King celluloid Fountain Pen. The pen has an 8-sided/faceted design and the celluloid material displays highly polished mottled brown colors. The cap and barrel are in perfect condition with no cracks, nicks, scratches, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The Sterling Vermeil cap crown and clip are securely in place and polished brightly displaying no wear. This fountain pen measures 5 3/8" capped, 6 1/2" posted, 16mm in diameter around the cap lip, and weighs 1.46 ounces.

The Kaweco celluloid Limited Edtion Fountain Pen had a production of just 300 pens, individually numbered. This particular Limited Edition number is 75 of 300 and is stamped just above the lever on the barrel.

The Kaweco King comes fitted with an 18K/750 Broad nib. I dipped the nib in Montblanc Blue-Black ink to perform a writing sample that you see in the images. The iridium tipping measures 1.19mm when measured with a digital caliper. The writing sample provided was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The nib will range from a medium (.78mm) to a double broad (1.28mm) line variation when measuring with digital calipers.

This Kaweco King fountain pen uses a lever-filling system. I have tested the lever filling system with water and it works as it was designed to.

The fountain pen comes with the original Black colored wooden box. The Kaweco documentation/booklet also accompanies the box and pen.

The Kaweco King is very desirable due to the celluloid design and Kaweco's commitment to bringing back a period of its pens from the 1920s/1930s. I would condition this Kaweco King Limited Edtion Fountain Pen to grade in Mint Condition. This Kaweco King would be one of the highlighted fountain pens in one's writing arsenal collection and a rare example that most never will have a chance to own.
