Description

For your consideration we are offering for sale this Beautifully Restored 1935 Parker Burgundy Mottled Celluloid Double Jewel Vacumatic Jr Fountain Pen. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, cap and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Feather Clip, Gold Filled Two Ring Cap Banding and 14K NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished & Waxed the barrel and cap to bring back the vibrancy and clarity of fountain pen barrel and cap.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no cracks or repairs. The barrel is near water clear with transparency. The cap has the Feather Gold Filled Clip and the double cap bands displays a wonderful gold filled color with no brassing. The top and bottom jewels are black and have been polished to look great again. The barrel is stamped crisp and clearly with, "GEO S. PARKER PARKER VACUMATIC MADE IN USA PATD with Dated code 1935 in the 1st Quarter". The transparency is amazing, I would consider it to be water clear. The jeweled blind cap securely fits. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. This Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen is a Junior Model that has a wider diameter cap and barrel than the standard juniors. It measures 4 7/8" in length capped and 5 13/16" posted. I have to reiterate the clarity of the barrel again, I have personally only seen very few water clear barrel and I would consider this one of the finest I have ever had in my collection

The Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water about 8 presses and it will fill full. This Vacumatic has the lock down filling unit, typical on 1st generation Vacumatics. This filling unit has been greased and now operates smoothly and works flawlessly.

The 14K Parker Split Arrow NIB is dated the same as the barrel, 1935 in the first quarter. This NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .77mm, when measured with digital calipers. The NIB is the split arrow 14K Vacumatic that is in excellent cosmetic and smooth writing condition. When writing a sample the NIB writes with an extra fine line and, again, very smoothly. The writing sample provided in the image has a extra fine stroke that measures .46mm and can flex to a broad stroke of roughly 1.16mm with medium pressure. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that is listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue - Black Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is a beautiful vintage Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen in the Burgundy Mottled Celluloid and would grade it in Excellent to Near Mint Condition. This is collector worthy and the condition stands behind this gorgeous Parker. It is ready to write or just add to writing arsenal collection.
