Description

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Scarce Circa 1928 Waterman #67 Blue-Green Ripple Hard Rubber Desk/Fountain Pen. This desk/fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

Ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. Hand cleaned the inside of the barrel with mineral oil. I have cleaned, buffed, and polished the outside of the barrel and taper. Replaced the old rubber sac with a new sac. Hand polished the 18K Gold Filled Lever Box Assembly along with the Waterman 14K #7 NIB.

This fountain pen is made from hard rubber in the Blue Green Ripple pattern. The coloring is great displaying blue, yellow, and green coloring. The lever box assembly displays crisp imprint of the "IDEAL" globe and displays absolutely no gold filled wear. This Waterman barrel and taper are excellent with the taper always securing tightly to the barrel. The barrel is stamped very lightly with, "WATERMAN'S MADE IN CANADA IDEAL GLOBE LOGO FOUNTAIN PEN". There are no monograms or personalization to either the barrel or taper. There are no cracks or repairs to the hard rubber. This Waterman #67 measures 8" in length.

The lever and box assembly has been cleaned and oiled. I have tested the lever filling systems with water and works flawlessly and as it was originally intended to.

This Waterman has a 14K Gold WATERMAN IDEAL #7 Firm Canadian Nib. The iridium tipping is in excellent condition with the point measuring .72mm when measured with digital calipers - a medium nib point. When writing the sample in the listing images, the NIB writes with a Medium line with no line variation. The medium line measures roughly .64mm with medium pressure when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample provided was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue-Black Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This antique Waterman #67 Blue-Green Ripple Hard Rubber Desk/Fountain Pen is scarce and collectors desire these. I would consider the condition, color, trim, and nib of this fountain pen to grade in Very Fine to Excellent condition. This Waterman #67 Fountain Pen is in ready to write condition or add it to your writing arsenal collection.
